Barrington NH Town LogoEstablished in 1722, Barrington, New Hampshire is home to approximately 8,275 residents (as of 2007). Barrington has the small town quality of life which so many people are after. It features winding country roads and beautiful scenery such as fields, pastures, lakes and streams. Many horse farms also exist in Barrington. Barrington is home to several fine lakes such as Ayers Pond, Farm Pond, Little Long Pond, Long Pond, Mendums Pond, Nippo Pond, North River Pond, Preston Pond, Round Pond, Stonehouse Pond, Swains Lake and Winkley Pond. One of Barrington's most famous land marks is Calef's Country Store. A visit to this store is like stepping back in time. Weather you are purchasing old fashioned penny candy, home made pastries and breads or having a cup coffee with a home made doughnut. Everyone who visits Calef's realizes that this is a special place. When visiting Barrington, don?t forget to stop in at Nippo Lake Golf Course for a fine round of it's beautiful 18 hole course, featuring scenic mountain views.
